Art “Golden Boy” Aragon

On Saturday evening, February 6, 2016 a ceremony was held at the Knights of Columbus Council 1226, Las Cruces, New Mexico to induct the hall of fame class of 2015 into the New Mexico Boxing Hall of Fame. The Inductees included:
- Art “Golden Boy” Aragon (posthumous)
- Mike Ortiz (posthumous)
- Danny “Pit Bull” Perez
- Sean McClain
- Austin Killeen
- Jimmy Archuleta
- Danny Montoya
- Elba Garcia Burke
Special Awards went to the following individuals for meritorious service to boxing:
- Charlie Garcia
- Ollie Wilhelm
Each inductee received a custom-designed New Mexico Boxing Hall Of Fame induction plaque.
Rocky Burke, Louie Burke, Jennifer Han, Abie Han, and Mrs. Mike Ortiz were among those who attended.
The event’s master of ceremony was Juan Nunez.
